The aim of our meetings is to provide a confidential and safe environment where a relationship can emerge between us to help you share and explore the emotional issues that may be of current concern to you. Through this relationship we will explore issues together at a pace that feels comfortable to you.
At the initial session we will discuss what it is that brought you to seek therapy and agree if it is appropriate for us to work together. You will have an opportunity to assess whether or not the way I work feels helpful to you, and if not, we can discuss alternative options.
Each session of individual counselling lasts for 50 minutes, the number of sessions depends on the needs of the individual. Sessions are normally weekly at a mutually agreed time each week. All sessions are fully confidential and comply with both the UKCP and BACP’s ethical framework.
